Saturday 4 PM -- Juggling 101 - Learn to Juggle 3 Balls by Ezra Collins

Have you always thought you weren't coordinated enough to juggle? WRONG!!! We can teach you. All it takes is a willingness to learn and practice. A guided tutorial for Novice-level Jugglers. Learn the basics of juggling including: Juggling vs. Object Manipulation, Proper stance & posture, One ball tossing, Two & Three ball foundational patterns, as well as HOW to practice & improve your juggling overall.

Saturday 4 PM -- Ball Bouncing by DrewBob Ford

It's not just air juggling turned upside-down, it's a whole new world. We'll start with the very basic lift 3 pattern, learn about kinds of throws and catches, slaps, and multiple bounces. We'll work through a number of 3-ball tricks like force-bounce, under the leg, 3 kinds of showers, half-shower, 4-4-1, 5-0-4, and Mill's Mess. Then we'll go on to 4 and 5 for those who are ready. Bring your bouncy balls.

Saturday 5 PM -- Basic Club Tricks by Don Lewis

Once you've learned the three club cascade, it is time to learn a few simple tricks. Even if your cascade is still a bit wobbly, you can learn the basics of adding tricks. Each trick will be demonstrated and broken down into easy to practice steps that start with one club and move up to three.

Depending on the time available, the following tricks will be covered: under-the-leg, over the top, doubles, behind-the-back, under-the-arm, flourishes, thumb rolls.

Don Lewis learned to juggle at the tender age of 45 and has been having fun juggling ever since. He is a member of Les Jongleurs Associés du Québec and has been on the Board of the IJA. Currently he edits the IJA's eNewsletter.

Saturday 5 PM -- Beginning Siteswaps by Eric Shibuya

Class will cover basic concepts of siteswaps, how to think about siteswaps, and how to generate "new" siteswaps without a computer.

Saturday 5 PM -- Take your 5-Ball Juggling to New Heights! by Richard Kennison

This workshop is for beginning five ball jugglers as well as more experienced jugglers. Richard will provide you with specific exercises and ideas to start you off properly or improve your 5-ball journey.

Saturday 6 PM -- Get Your Act Together! by Richard Kennison

This workshop will give you pragmatic advice on how to create an audience winning act. Structure, pacing, and character work will all be discussed. Richard Kennison is the juggling coach at Circus Harmony, a social youth program located in St. Louis, MO. He has taught and coached juggling for over four decades.

He has coached many award winning jugglers including -- Book Kennison, Casey Boehmer, Nanathanel Sorrill, Chauncey Kroner, Isabella Mazjun, Kellin Quinn, Delaney Bayles, Ashley Ellis and Jack Denger. His performers have won over a dozen “Phils” at the annual Groundhogs Day competition in Atlanta, Georgia.

Richard has coached the first place Junior at the International Juggling Association’s competition for the past three years. He is a recipient of the Excellence in Education Award and the 2016 recipient of the Bobby May Award from the IJA.

NOTE -- Richard Kennison is a full time professional coach and his two workshops are normally a fee based arrangement. He has gifted these to the AJA because he loves the Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival and wants to thank them for their annual healing.

Saturday 7 PM -- Contact Staff FUNdamentals by Krisstina Hawks

2 x 30-45 minute blocks can be one class - Will provide loaner staffs. Steve - specifically the horizontal back-side half steve - in preparation for a prayer steve. Halo - wrist-shoulder-shoulder-wrist - in preparation for continuous rotations, which are the precursor to a Jesus.

Saturday 8 PM -- Contact Juggling 101 by Graham Daniel

A guided tutorial for Novice-level Contact Jugglers. Learn the basics of Contact juggling including: Basics of Body Rolls, Palm Spinning, and Isolations

Sunday 1 PM -- Intro to Slackline by Charline Giroud

A basic primer on Slacklining: walking, balancing or doing various tricks on a line tensioned. Similar to tightrope walking, slackline webbing is flat and broader; and the line itself is not perfectly tight – rather stretchy and dynamic - allowing for hopping, flipping, and aerial tricks. Learn the fundmentals including: balancing, walking, turning around, surfing & bouncing

Sunday 2 PM -- Hatching Dragons by Krisstina Hawks

The first 20-30 minutes is teaching the forward chi-roll. The remainder of the class is how to integrate contact moves with a dragon, with a focus on front-side/back-side duck-outs. Will provide loaner staffs for class.

Sunday 3 PM -- Poi 101 by Graham Daniel

A guided tutorial for Novice-level Poi Spinners. Learn the basics of Poi Spinning including: 2 & 3 Beat Weave, The Butterfly, Flowers, Isolations, Stalls and Intro to Technical Spinning
